  और जब तुम अपनी बीवियों को तलाक़ दो और उनकी मुद्दत पूरी होने को आए तो अच्छे उनवान से उन को रोक लो या हुस्ने सुलूक से बिल्कुल रुख़सत ही कर दो और उन्हें तकलीफ पहुँचाने के लिए न रोको ताकि ज्यादती करने लगो और जो ऐसा करेगा तो यक़ीनन अपने ही पर जुल्म करेगा और ख़ुदा के एहकाम को कुछ हँसी ठट्टा न समझो और ख़ुदा ने जो तुम्हें नेअमतें दी हैं उन्हें याद करो और जो किताब और अक्ल की बातें तुम पर नाज़िल की उनसे तुम्हारी नसीहत करता है और ख़ुदा से डरते रहो और समझ रखो कि ख़ुदा हर चीज़ को ज़रुर जानता है

  और यदि जब तुम स्त्रियों को तलाक़ दे दो और वे अपनी निश्चित अवधि को पहुँच जाएँ, जो सामान्य नियम के अनुसार उन्हें रोक लो या सामान्य नियम के अनुसार उन्हें विदा कर दो । और तुम उन्हें नुक़सान पहुँचाने के ध्येय से न रोको कि ज़्यादती करो । और जो ऐसा करेगा, तो उसने स्वयं अपने ही ऊपर ज़ुल्म किया । और अल्लाह की आयतों को परिहास का विषय न बनाओ, और अल्लाह की कृपा जो तुम पर हुई है उसे याद रखो और उस किताब और तत्वदर्शिता को याद रखो जो उसने तुम पर उतारी है, जिसके द्वारा वह तुम्हें नसीहत करता है । और अल्लाह का डर रखो और भली - भाँति जान लो कि अल्लाह हर चीज को जाननेवाला है

• Divorcement is twice: thereafter either retaining her reputably, or letting her off kindly. And it is not allowed unto you to take away aught ye have given them, except the twain fear that they may not observe the bonds of Allah. If yes fear that the twain may not observe the bonds of Allah, then no blame is on the twain for that where with she ransometh herself. These are the bonds of Allah, wherefore trespass them not ; and whosoever trespasseth the bonds of Allah, then verily these! they are the wrong - doers.
  तलाक़ रजअई जिसके बाद रुजू हो सकती है दो ही मरतबा है उसके बाद या तो शरीयत के मवाफिक़ रोक ही लेना चाहिए या हुस्न सुलूक से बिल्कुल रूख़सत और तुम को ये जायज़ नहीं कि जो कुछ तुम उन्हें दे चुके हो उस में से फिर कुछ वापस लो मगर जब दोनों को इसका ख़ौफ़ हो कि ख़ुदा ने जो हदें मुक़र्रर कर दी हैं उन को दोनो मिया बीवी क़ायम न रख सकेंगे फिर अगर तुम्हे ये ख़ौफ़ हो कि यह दोनो ख़ुदा की मुकर्रर की हुई हदो पर क़ायम न रहेंगे तो अगर औरत मर्द को कुछ देकर अपना पीछा छुड़ाए तो इसमें उन दोनों पर कुछ गुनाह नहीं है ये ख़ुदा की मुक़र्रर की हुई हदें हैं बस उन से आगे न बढ़ो और जो ख़ुदा की मुक़र्रर की हुईहदों से आगे बढ़ते हैं वह ही लोग तो ज़ालिम हैं

• O ye who believe! forbid not the clean things of that which Allah hath allowed unto you, and trespass not verily Allah approveth not the trespassers.
