  और इसी प्रकार हमने इस को एक अरबी फ़रमान के रूप में उतारा है । अब यदि तुम उस ज्ञान के पश्चात भी, जो तुम्हारे पास आ चुका है, उनकी इच्छाओं के पीछे चले तो अल्लाह के मुक़ाबले में न तो तुम्हारा कोई सहायक मित्र होगा और न कोई बचानेवाला

• We also made a covenant with those who say," We are Christians." But they too have forgotten much of what they were enjoined. So, We have put enmity and hatred between them till the Day of judgement ; and soon God will declare to them what they have been doing.
  और जो लोग कहते हैं कि हम नसरानी हैं उनसे हमने ईमान का एहद लिया था मगर जब जिन जिन बातों की उन्हें नसीहत की गयी थी उनमें से एक बड़ा हिस्सा भुला बैठे तो हमने भी क़यामत तक उनमें बाहम अदावत व दुशमनी की बुनियाद डाल दी और ख़ुदा उन्हें बहुत जल्द बता देगा कि वह क्या क्या करते थे

• Then, when they had despaired of Joseph they went to a corner and counselled together. The eldest of them said:" Do you not know that your father has taken a solemn promise from you in the name of Allah, and you failed in your duty towards Joseph ? So I will not depart from this land until my father permits me, or Allah pronounces His judgement in my favour. He is the best of those who judge."
  तो जब से वे उससे निराश हो गए तो परामर्श करने के लिए अलग जा बैठे । उनमें जो बड़ा था, वह कहने लगा," क्या तुम जानते नहीं कि तुम्हारा बाप अल्लाह के नाम पर तुमसे वचन ले चुका है और उसको जो इससे पहले यूसुफ़ के मामले में तुमसे क़सूर हो चुका है ? मैं तो इस भू - भाग से कदापि टलने का नहीं जब तक कि मेरे बाप मुझे अनुमति न दें या अल्लाह ही मेरे हक़ में कोई फ़ैसला कर दे । और वही सबसे अच्छा फ़ैसला करनेवाला है

• and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement
  और रोज़ जज़ा को झुठलाया करते थे

• They did not split up except after knowledge had come to them, and then only because they wished to commit excesses against each other. Had your Lord not already decreed that judgement would be made later at an appointed time, the matter between them would surely have been decided once and for all. Indeed those who were later made the heirs of the Book are in disquieting doubt about it.
  उन्होंने तो परस्पर एक - दूसरे पर ज़्यादती करने के उद्देश्य से इसके पश्चात विभेद किया कि उनके पास ज्ञान आ चुका था । और यदि तुम्हारे रब की ओर से एक नियत अवधि तक के लिए बात पहले निश्चित न हो चुकी होती तो उनके बीच फ़ैसला चुका दिया गया होता । किन्तु जो लोग उनके पश्चात किताब के वारिस हुए वे उसकी ओर से एक उलझन में डाल देनेवाले संदेह में पड़े हुए है

• Whoever turns away from it will surely carry a burden on the Day of judgement,
  जिसने उससे मुँह फेरा वह क़यामत के दिन यक़ीनन बोझ उठाएगा

  परंतु यदि ऐसी स्थिति पैदा हो जाए कि किसी भी दल को लोक सभा में स्पष्ट बहुमत प्राप्त न हो तो राष्ट़्रपति किसी ऐसे नेता का चयन करने में स्वविवेक का प्रयोग कर सकता है जिसे, उसकी राय में, सदन में बहुमत का समर्थन प्राप्त होने की संभावना हो ।

• And the Jews say: the hand of God is fettered. Fettered be their own hands, and cursed be they for that which they have said! Aye! His both hands are wide open. He expendeth howsoever He listeth. And surely that which hath been sent down to thee from thy Lord increaseth many of them in exorbitance and infidelity. And We have cast among them enmity and spite till the Day of judgement: so oft as they kindle the fire of War Allah extinguisheth it, and they strive after corruption in the land, and Allah approveth not the corrupters.
  और यहूदी कहने लगे कि ख़ुदा का हाथ बॅधा हुआ है उन्हीं के हाथ बॉध दिए जाएं और उनके कहने पर फिटकार बरसे बल्कि उसके दोनों हाथ कुशादा हैं जिस तरह चाहता है ख़र्च करता है और जो तुम्हारे पास नाज़िल की गयी है उनमें से बहुतेरों को कुफ़्र व सरकशी को और बढ़ा देगा और हमने ख़ुद उनके आपस में रोज़े क़यामत तक अदावत और कीने की बुनियाद डाल दी जब ये लोग लड़ाई की आग भड़काते हैं तो ख़ुदा उसको बुझा देता है और रूए ज़मीन में फ़साद फेलाने के लिए दौड़ते फिरते हैं और ख़ुदा फ़सादियों को दोस्त नहीं रखता
