Don't Need No Oscars!

Of couse Academy Awards are the biggest and most prestigious award for any actor/actress. The process is a long one and only the most deserving get to win their golden ladies. Surewe had a lot of Leo’s memes a few years before, but there are a lot more whose names you read and be like, “WHAT???!!!”

·Robert Downey, Jr. : Everyone loves him and there would certainly be only one Iron Man in our hearts forever. We obviously love his suave personality, witty charms and amazing skills with the ladies, but lets also not forget about the great roles he can pull off with such an ease. Nominated twice, once for ‘Chaplin’ and then for ‘Tropic Thunder’ (he was amazing btw), he’s returned empty handed both the times. We still continue to adore him, Oscars or otherwise.

·Johnny Depp: Okay before you start judging, forget about his page 3 presence and remember the works he’s done. Nominated thrice for the award, once as Jack Sparrow, once for Sweeney Todd and my personal favourite, as J.M. Barrie for ‘Finding Neverland’ he sure faces stiff competition all the times. He’s still one of the finest actors.

·Bill Murray: (What?!!) Has only been nominated once for the beautiful ‘Lost in Translation’ in which he starred opposite Scarlett Johansson. This was a shock and I felt extremely offended when I first learned about it. You see when a person has performed so great in movies like Ghostbusters, Stripes, Scrooged, The Man Who Knew Too Little and the list goes on. His comedic timing is on point and it was hard for me to digest this information.

·Bradley Cooper: Yes, the coolest man on the list is yet to receive the gold lady. Silver Linings Playbook was his career best, some say. I find most of his work to be excellent even when he has to be charming, playful or intense, Cooper has certainly showed amazing acting skills throughout his career. ‘A Star is Born’ is definitely Oscar worthy and so were the performances.

·Harrison Ford: For someone who had embodies Indiana Jones over the years, was surprisingly nominated only once for a film called ‘Witness’. All those adventures he went to found him treasures yet our beloved Jonesy hasn’t found the golden statue yet.

·Samuel L. Jackson: Recently known for the role of Nick Fury, the actor delivers powerful roles be it the role of a maniac in Kingsman or intense ones as in Pulp Fiction. He’s definitely had some fine works over the years and few of them should have at least been nominated.

I have not added any actresses in the above list or actors whose old classics we mightnot be familiar with. There are a whole lot of actresses who deserved accolades for their roles. Fact: Even Marilyn Monroe, the blonde beauty queen whose style is still considered to be the trendiest, never won an Academy Award, though was nominated multiple times. Now that surely would have made you go “I can’t even!!!”
