In this world of technology, new advancements are taking place every split-second. The old conventional ways of education and the relations between the employer and the employee no longer hold that good in today’s world of the “The Unexpected”. Therefore, it has become a necessity for the companies to change their systems accordingly.

Glassdoor published the list of the companies which officially abolished the mandate to have a college degree for the candidates. Google, Apple, Adobe and 12 other companies are in this list. The basic principle behind this decision was to gather and add more and more ideas and technical diversity in the cyber world.

“When you look at people who don’t go to school and make their way in the world, those are exceptional human beings. And we should do everything we can to find those people,” A Google executive told The New York Times in 2014.

These ‘exceptional’ beings sometimes create and come up with ideas which can totally change the Tech-World.

At Google, they understand the values of ideas, and not mandating and restricting them to the lot of the “Traditionally Educated”.

This gives a great chance and opportunity to the people who have a hands-on experience in a particular field, who have attended coding boot camp(s) or any other ‘non-traditional’ program of such kind rather than a regular 'four-year technical course’.

The jobs for these people not only include basic entry-level posts but also of higher order technical and management posts. Google offers a range of posts for a non-college graduate like of a Research Scientist, UX Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Product Marketing Manager and Software Engineer and many more.

Though for any job post, college degree plays a vital role in selection, but the mandate to have it has been abolished because it hampers the growth of the company as well as the of ‘the deserving’.

This big step taken by the job providers for the job seekers at Google is the result of the belief that college-dropouts and un-traditional people create more and more impact on the society by their works and have made their way out in unconventional ways.

If you’re HUNGRY and not a fixed path follower guy who doesn’t know the accomplishments of some random 30-40 dead people whose ideas are worthless for your field of interest(which does matter I know, but not much), but knows what’s actually required, there’s still a room awaiting you, my friend, in the GOOGLEPLEX.
