Why Hostellers Life Is Better Than Day Scholars Life?

Honestly that should not be a title for an article, but i think people should know how hostellers live their lives in a room with there room-mates or in my case alone. College is not just stressful it is also a long time period to study further more complex details of your chosen stream. With the choice you make comes responsibility to complete every task given related to them. With this all around are thoughts hostellers still manage to take out time to go out and relax and talk to extended period of time.

Things i do as a hosteller with my buddies :-

1. ENDLESS TALKING

this may be related to studies(mostly not), school experience , how we have no future with girls ( being an engineer i can tell you this comes out in almost every conversation), and how good we performed in our so called 10th boards and 12^th boards. Mind it, these talks may sound irrelevant but are the most fun so much so that it can go on for almost 10 hrs ( Ahem! Personal experience).

2. NIGHT OUT WITH FRIENDS

While day scholars may not be allowed to go out of there homes after a certain time in the night, we hostel boys have no restrain to go and comeback to hostel at any point at time ( after informing warden sir). I and my friends went out to India gate and Rashtrapati Bhavan at 11;30 in the night and ate ice -cream and came back around 2:20 am, back to hostel on the night of an exam. This is too risky but what is the fun if risk is not taken, right?

3. PARTY OVER BAD RESULTS

thismay be very bad thing to do as this makes us look like we have back( but, haha NO). Specially when the semester result fall out of nowhere in the end of semester, mind starts having deja vu. So, we a group of six friends leave everything and order a lot of food and listen to music while enjoying it, cause sometimes taking a break is important too. This i am sure the day scholars cannot have, cause they have parents just next door and i don't need to tell you what your parents will say after seeing the mind blowing result you have produced.

4. GROUP STUDY

This is so down in my list because the probability of this being successful is almost zero. But, in some cases when the semester is hard, so much so that you cannot prepare all six subject in a month this comes in handy. While day scholars start studying from the start we hostellers are expert on last minute preparations. Divide and conquer is our motto and we finally are able to get a good grade in exams.

Now, but not the least

5. BIRTHDAY PARTY CELEBRATION

Those who have lived in hostel will remember the amount of beating he gets on his birthday, specially in boys hostel we love to smash the person until he is on the verge of fainting. I think its just the love that makes us do this on their very special day of birth that we remind the person how special he is for us. I remember my first birthday in my hostel, 15-16 of my batch mates came with a cake and kicked my ass ( literally), then the cake was smashed over my face and then the best friend gets kicked too. It will be the best memory of college for me. ( random pic)
