A Message For My Juniors

There was something that i observed from my last year at school in terms of academics, I want to share it with you all. You all are probably aware that some of us are in college while others are in coaching institutes getting ready to stike back hard. What i want to bring to your attention are a couple of things, the first is for 12thies: Two big things are going through your mind nowadays, first, Boards and how you'll score, second, college, which one you'll get, let me tell you that what i learnt from my batch was that scoring well in boards is good but if you land somewhere other than good it is NOT AN ISSUE, there are literally dozens of people from our batch who did not at all score good in their boards and they landed elegantly into well reputed colleges, i can give names as well but not here, the main thing was that they did not let their marks affect their determination for their future, while on the other hand we had many, many students who performed tremendously in boards, you may find their names on the school walls but they were not able to grab a college on their first try, you are to take insiration from them as well because their fighting spirits are not at all withered and their determination will bring them success in sha allah, but keep this in mind, the general scenario this year was that people who were taunted for their poor academic performance and were looked down upon by their classmates, teachers or in some cases, parents, proved that that is not what they deserved while those who were admired were the ones who fumbled(not all of em though), what i want to establish is that what you will get is only in the hands of Allah and nothing can EVER be predetermined whether they be your board marks or whether it be your college placement, so do not give into what mates or teachers say, we were also told that our batch's performance in science has been the worst among all the batches at our school, you do not need to prove people who say this wrong, they ARE wrong, you just need to prove to yourself that you deserve better and then achieve it.

Now as for the 11thies: Listen up! This is the best time to be alive in school, the number of opportunities you get this year to explore yourself and to show your colours is something that you will not get for quite a while especially next year, this is the year where marks are literally nothing more than mere numbers, you just need enough to cross the threshhold to 12th your main objective this year should be to persure YOUR passion as much as possible, i'm not saying that you should not study at all, never do that, never not study, you need some base for next year but let me emphasise, SOME. Again this is the best year for any student whose up for inter school, inter house etc. It is the only year where you can have as much fun as possible during your school life, 11th for us was honestly the best year, make it your best as well. And if you're finding 11th tough, don't worry just keep pushing hard, 12th is going to be easier.
