"People leave traces of themselves where they feel most comfortable, most worthwhile."

Every day we spend, each moment that we live gets queued up only to serve later as a ladder to our unforgettable and memorable past memories. As we live the present and step forward towards the future, we disregard the fact we are creating memories that will be cherished as our past! At each point of our lives as we move forward, we leave a small part of ourselves only to be able to recollect it by smelling back it's essence. Just as a bird leaves its marks and figures out her way back home, we leave our imprints only to trace back our immortal remembrance of the bygone!

And every now and then, a time comes when we wish to track down those hidden away memories and go back to the old forgotten lane. To drown in the sentimental affection of the past that was once our present, to roam in the prominence of 'the happened' and smile every time as the movie of 'the gone' plays back in your imagination with every breath you take. And we call this sweet friend of ours 'nostalgia'. A lovely companion and a sweet enemy too!

But when does nostalgia occur? Most of the times, we experience this feel when we do not wish to live the present. The current happenings in our surroundings do not intersts us and we wish to go back into the special times of our lives we once encountered. Some people, some incidents, some places creates a special bond with your heart which can never be replaced. Being at the same phase but with different faces is not always pleasing. A point comes when we just wish to run away from the immediate and hide behind the foregone! And there's no harm in this. People tend to choose the one they find comfort in!

Maybe a song to remind you of your class trip? Or a spot where you sit and enjoy the night sky? These immortal entities always finds a way to give you comfort in your restlessness. And when this happens, your heart plays a symphony to which your soul dances! It can be a blessing, nostalgia. But do not underestimate this sugar coated dynamite my friend! It has in it the power to ruin your 'NOW' and 'COMING'.

Do calm yourself with it whenever you need it but also know that going back to the past not always pops out great memories. It may also occur that you only end up getting too low instead of cheering yourself up. Thinking and grieving over the fact that the same time is never gonna happen and is gone will only hamper your peace of mind! After all, 'nostalgia' is an illness for those who haven't realised that today is tomorrow's nostalgia!

Nostalgia comes like a soothing guest in one's life at a point when one is unable to keep pace with the present!
