Sport , Stardom And Slip Of Tongue!

Being a sportsman is not easy. One has to do a lot of hardwork , put in that extra effort to reach that extra mile and has to have sheer dedication in order to be succesful and exceptional when compared to the other sportsmen playing the game. A sport is something which is to be played with utmost respect for your opponent. Only then , one can be called as a successful sportsman. When a sportsman does well , they get recognition. they are liked all over the world.

Talking about success and stardom , there is something else that a sportsman should be aware of and that is 'CONTROVERSIES'. Controversies go hand in hand with sports and stardom. It does not take much time for a sportsman to fall prey to stardom and controversies. Not every sportsman is able to handle stardom. Some fall prey to it , where as the others handle it like any other success and don't let it go into their head and let it affect their performance. When seen most of the times , the stardom takes over the individual's simplicity. Changes are seen in their behaviour and that leads to their downfall. One such popular way to lose one's self is ,"SLIP OF TONGUE".

Slip of tongue causes many problems which go on for a long period of time. An individual's image is at stake and that might affect one's performance as well. One such recent incident that happened the previous year was when Team India's allrounder Hardik Pandya and Batsman KL Rahul were on ,"KOFFEE WITH KARAN". Koffee with Karan is a talk show hosted by director KARAN JOHAR. The talk show is currently in it's 6^th Season which is aired on Tv as well as online.

The actual controversy had begun when Karan had asked Hardik and Rahul a few questions and the answers they gave were termed as "SEXIST" and "RACIST" , especially on women. These answers have done no good to their reputation and have let down people's emotions. The audience reacted to the promos and the particular segment in a harsh way and have termed them as "MISOGYNISTIC". They being Public Figures , have a great impact on the audience. The audience tend to follow what they say and this is set as an example to the future generations as well.

They being the sportsmen they are , representing the country has a great impact on the international cricketing circle , where in more of the impact is been left on the country's image.

After realising his mistake , here's what he tweeted - "After reflecting on my comments on Koffee with Karan , I would like to apologise to everyone concerned who i may have hurt in any way. Honestly , I got a bit carried away with the nature of the show. In no way did i mean to disrespect or hurt anyone's sentiments. Respect".

With the whole incident taking an ugly turn , BCCI has demanded an explaination of the whole issue from both of them. Only time will say where this issue will be heading to.
