Cinema is regarded as sequential audio-visual imagery that is produced by a series of pictures set in motion, which depicts an idea or a theme. It's components are-

Direction

It is the management or guidance that is regarded in a film. The person who manages or guides the film is known as the director.

Direction is controlling a films artistic and dramatic aspects of the screenplay while telling the crew and actors about the vision. The director gives direction to the cast and makes sure that his vision is followed properly. He guides everyone on the set to attain his visionary goal.

Cinematography

The art of photography and camera work is called cinematography. Also known as direction of photography, it is an art of capturing the frames of light that fall on the camera. The person concerned for this area is called cinematographer. They use the lens to focus reflected light from objects into a real image. The word cinemato is based on a Greek word meaning 'movement' or 'motion' and graphy meaning 'to record' together 'recording motion.'

Script/Story/Plot

The plot in a story is the sequence of related events that make up the narrative. The plot in a story is 'what happens' and the story is 'why it happens.'

The script arranges events in order and makes the work of director easy.

Acting

Casts are a necessity for films. Good actors lead to good movies. The actors and actresses should be able to play their parts so well that they almost become the character they play.

Proper casting is very essential for movie making.

Sound

Refers to everything we hear in a movie, it gives a scene, a feeling of authenticity. Sound in film making includes dialogues, foley and sound effects. They are used to add mood or atmosphere to a film, the sound effects come into play here, the pitch, tempo, volume are altered to produce a good sound. The dialogues by the actors are also edited and made perfect according to the scene.

Production

The production process refers to the stages required to complete the film from its initial phase to the final masterpiece. The production stage is divided into three phases pre-production, production, and post-production. The pre-production stage includes planning, scripting and storyboarding. The production stage includes the actual shooting or recording. The post-production process continuous with editing and making the final copy.

Marketing

Promoting a movie using different platforms is known as marketing. It is crucial to target the audience to come and see your film. Knowing your target audience and promoting film around them is profitable. For marketing a film proper marketing plan should be prepared and executed. Research work should be done and the budget should be allotted for the promotion. Posters, banners, radio jingles and advertisement should be prepared. The correct medium should be selected for the promotion. And thus marketing can play a big role for a film to get the green light.
