The word “Health” refers to the state of emotional and physical well-being. A healthy lifestyle provides the means to lead a full life. World Health Organization provides advices and evidences needed for people to lead healthy lives. Good health requires the commitment of many from lawmakers to lunch makers, there are steps each of us can take to promote and protect health. Health can be mainly classified into two: Physical and Mental Health. There is definitely a strong connection between mental health and physical health but little is known about their links from one to the other.

  • Physical Health: This is the most visible of the various dimensions ofhealth. Physical activities can improve your health and reduce the risk of developing various diseases like diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Alcohol Consumption is one of major indicators which affects us physically. Worsening of physical health can also result into loss of wages or productivity reducing reach to healthier foods and environment. This income effect impacts negatively on your mental health too.

  • Mental Health: : It defines the emotional and psychological well-being .It refers as to how we think, act and behave. This can affect individuals’ decision making process which can lead to impairment of their abilities to decide the cures, affects or even the consequences of the medications they intake in every aspect.The kind of lifestyles which we prefer these days can lead to addictions to smoking and drinking which in turn affects the Mental Health of an individual. Social Isolation also affects Mental Health drastically.

Three basic factors which lead to a Healthy Life are:

  • Healthy Diet: The essential steps include eating food which are mostly derived from plants—vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes and nuts, limiting the need for highly processed foods. Start with small things, one can replace the traditional refined-grain bread with a whole grain bread or replace Greek Yogurt instead of the regular one. Having food with good sources of Protein and drinking lots of water are the key factors to maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle as Protein helps retaining muscle mass which determines the rate of metabolism in your body.

  • Let’s be Active:Maintaining physical fitness can also protect and develop a person's breathing, muscular strength and flexibility. Activities like Walking, Running or even Dancing and Singing can encompass use of energy so try to include any one activityin your Daily Routine.

  • No Tobacco: The use of any type ofherbal or rather any kind of cigarettes can ultimately affect the heart, causing coronary artery disease, an increased heart rate and high blood pressure.

It can lead to Dental Problems and can damage your lungs too. Avoiding tobacco or taking measures to quit it are among the definite ways for people to avoid illnesses and take the road to good health.
