When it's been a while
and you still feel like you're missing out on something,
and you don't know what.
Something hurts,
and you don't know why.
Take a second and look within,
and you might find parts of you which you never bothered to forgive.
You built walls around yourself,
For noone to break through.
They called you introverted and reserved,
But weren't you just protecting yourself from another tide to hit?
And each time you let down your walls for someone,
They only reminded you why you had to build them so high in the first place.
You don't even know anymore
For which even is better.
To be vulnerable, take the risk,
And let the tide strike off guard?
Or to remain in the shores
Too drowned to drown again.
Life is uneasy at times.
Understanding logics is German sometimes.
We have our own extraordinary ways
Of mending what's broken
And finding what's lost.
You don't have to struggle so hard
To find every missing piece
To your jigsaw heart.
You're not incomplete,
Those lil spaces will get filled up eventually.
When you forgive yourself,
When you stop building the walls,
When you dare to face the tide,
When you don't find what's lost,
When you be me,
You'll be complete.
When you'll be me.
