Currently , India is witnessing around 3.5 lakhs cases per day as per report by Govt and deaths around 4000 . Is this data relevant ? As world media sources , crematoriums are full around the country , even in small towns people has to wait outside of crematorium. Is India underreporting COVID cases and deaths ?
During first COVID wave ICMR researched in April , August and December respectively to check COVID cases reality. Key findings of that research were covid cases are around seven times higher than official data. And covid deaths are around 1.4times higher than reported . Why is this so ?

One reason may be India is thinking showing actual no of cases and deaths may lead to people into panic mode. And there will be lots of questions against government. However around the world it has seen that every country has underreported covid cases and deaths whether it would be USA , China , Britain.

If Indian govt reports actual no of cases , we can use as a weapon to combat covid third wave . People will be more cautious to see actual cases , will follow covid norms . On the other hand , India can use IT sector to combat third wave. With the help of IT India can know how many beds , oxygen supply and doctors need to control third wave . Policy makers will also get help to tackle third wave situation .
