Usually when the countdown for any competitive exam begins there is a flood of advertisements in newspapers, social media and pamphlets of various coaching institutes claiming to provide best ever coaching matrial and guidance to crack the exam. However in all this hustle and bustle there is a extreme advertising of a course called as Crash Course offered by every coaching institutes claiming theirs to be the best one and giving a 100% guarantee for success. But most of us seems to be confused that whether we should really take it or not? Before forming any opinion let us get some overview about competitive exam and the common practices followed to crack them.

Ok, so before dwelling futher into our discussion for those who don't know about crash course let me allow to debrief you in little. Well "Crash Course" as the name suggest is a course of duration of 4-5 weeks depending on the coaching institute where a fast paced short term duration course is designed for students appearing in particular competitve exam. In such couses instead of completing each and every topic in depth and details, each topic is covered from above considering only the important text from the point of the competition. Such courses rather than building your foundations they aim more on your practise and problem solving skills, teaching you shortcuts where necessary. Such courses are usually assisted by few test series for checking one's performance and providing them opportunity to realise their weak areas and to improve them.

Competitive exams are designed in such a way so as to segregate the hard workers from non hard workersautomatically . So if anyone thinks that he/she can clear a competitive exam just by using IQ and little bit of study then my dear friend you are in a really very sorry state. These exams focuses much more on your hardwork rather than your IQ and we all know that there is no shortcut to hardwork. All these coaching institutes claiming to join their crash course to crack the exam, make one thing very clear in your mind there is no shortcut to success and no coaching in the whole world can make you crack any exam just within a month. All these claims are fake, merely a part of their marketing strategy. The only students who get benefitted from such programs are those who have been really working their ass off earlier and now just need little bit of guidance then It’s totally ok for them to join crash course. But for others please try to understand it’s simply a waste of time and money. No matter how much these coaching institutes tries to make fool of you always remember, the path of successis not easy to walk. If you think you have prepared enough and a little bit of guidance can do wonders for you then such courses are definitely for you otherwise even don’t think of going to it.

Last but not the least, these courses won't make you Einstein overnight. they simply act as giude post during your crucial preparation time. Think of them just as accessories to boost your progress but not as magical tool which can help you to crack the exam.

Hardwork was,is and will remain the only key to crack such exams.
