Idealistically, a politician is the one who understands the needs of the society and knows how to frame and implement policies. Policies that shape up the social, political and economic framework and in turn satisfy the public demands and needs.

But reality is far away from such fundamental definitions. Often, the work is either hidden or created by hollow propaganda not realising what is essential. The pragmatic intelligence is undoubtedly avoided and preferred under the various strategic politics which instead of being used as means to chalk out path to development, stability and progress are created to take advantage of the powers associated with the role creating an absolute chaotic society.

The realisation of the needs for development are often far away from the reality. India in its current scenario - politically, economically, socially and its international representation as well as its demographic composition is in an unique stance offering a potential for growth and betterment if the scenario dealt with sensibility and sensitivity understanding the nature and potential of the Indian society. It is high time that the current generation politicians realise the potential underneath and realise the responsibility of being politicians in the world's largest democracy constituting a large composition of employable population instead of pursuing hollow unpragmatic politics lacking the required statistics, plans of actions, insights as well as past records in pursuit of power.

As aptly said by Kautilya, one must use all means to acquire power but once in power use sustainable and righteous means intended the betterment and development of the civilisation or state in all arenas otherwise it won't be able to sustain the power as public would dethrone the ones in power.
