Protection Of environment or growth?After years of struggle, India has arrived in the path of development.200 years of struggle under the British Raj which included the struggle of great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi known as the father of the nation, Jawaharlal Nehru the first prime minister of free India,B.R Ambedkar who is the father of the constitution, S.C.Bose is known for its bravery. When India achieved its freedom, poverty and underdevelopment hovered . Years of patience and struggle have resulted in India to a position where it is now. Citizen of the country dreams of a stable, open, inclusive growth. Do we expect growth at the cost of the environment?? Primary duty is the protection of the environment.

The pollution level has reached to such an extent that Cyclones, floods are a result of climate change due to an increase in the levels of greenhouses gases. How truly said," Health is money".Due to the unhealthy environment, disease of a different kind like Zika Virus, Monkeypox,Nipah virus have caused death of millions of people. There is a spread of endless disease which causes the death of many and leaving people at unrest. Creating a healthy environment is the need of the hour.The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), otherwise known as the Global Goals, are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.17 SDGs goals which involve No hunger, well being and health of all human beings, Sustainable consumption and production is the requirement of 21 st century.

Growth is important and various measures are taken but the environment should be protected first.Smart cities, Mobilize the city, Safe city projects are the initiates taken to create a healthy environment and secure the citizen of our country.

Every action must possess an objective. It must be legal as well as ethical. It should be beneficial to the maximum of people.

Protection of the environment is not only the duty of the government of the country, Its a social responsibility of every citizen residing in the country to take the initiative for creating a green and healthy environment. Bharat mala project, Make in India programme, Bharat net is the initiates to boost the growth and development but which ultimately results in loss of property and environment because of infrastructure need space. Industrialization is yet another cause of pollution in the country. Discharge of sewage, harmful chemicals and thus it's intermixing with water bodies results in damage and devastation of marine lives...The target of achieving the sustainable goal by 2030 must be achieved sincerely. Creating a balance between the growth of the nation and protection of hour is what will determine the future of India and create a prosperous India.
