I was in grade 12. We, the team of 20 students with our mentor were buckled up in our seats and ready to fly. Everyone was excited about our research trip to Florida. Our mission is to study and research about the life of marine animals and marine plants that grow under extreme weather conditions. After 31 hours of travel, we were able to reach Florida. With the guidance of a senior professor in Florida, we decided to start our research at the North Atlantic Ocean. Professor warned us to be careful and not to enter the Bermuda triangle.

Bermuda triangle is sometimes called a devil’s triangle. It’s a triangular region connecting Florida, Bermuda and Puerto Rico. Ships or planes that entered this region have never returned. Bermuda triangle has eaten up more than 300 ships and 75 air crafts. Ships and planes lose their communication while they enter this region. Even scientists can’t explain why things vanish when it enters the Bermuda triangle. Peoples suspect it might be because of high magnetic field or it might be because of aliens. But it’s not proved yet.

With warm welcoming notes of the waves and sea breeze, we started our voyage. Our class representative had an important role to monitor and assure that we are not entering the Bermuda Triangle. After a few hours of fun, we started our research.

We suddenly found that the compass was trembling without pointing at any particular direction. Our class representative yelled, “We are close to the Bermuda Triangle”.

Before we rushed to the captain to warn him about this, the Google map marker was pointing at Bermuda Triangle!!!

The captain came running to us and said, “We completely lost our communication with ATC. The Engine has stopped working.” After a short breath, he asked us, “Where are we?” Our mentor replied in a fearsome voice, “We are in…”

Before she completed her phrase, we saw a huge tide was nearing us. No one could see the edge of the tide. We all looked scared and petrified. The huge wave didn’t permit us to think of having safety measures. It drenched us with its tones of showers. Luckily, everyone was safe even after having a big shower.

Our ship started sinking. We couldn’t help ourselves. Everyone had gone dumb and could express nothing except the fear of death.

Suddenly, a wave took our ship round and round in the ferocious ocean. We were caught up in a whirlpool. It took our ship deep inside the stream.

After a few moments, I found myself drowning in the ocean. I could not see any of my friends. With the least hope of being rescued, I thought I was in my last breath. Surprisingly, I heard a melody in that deep ocean. And a voice came “It’s getting late. Wake up soon.”

Yeah …It was my alarm tune. And my Mom was waking me up. I woke up from the dream.
