“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn , the more places you’ll go.”

~Dr Seuss

Reading is an artistic practice of breaking the barriers in your thought process. It is essential to cultivate the habit of reading in order to broaden one’s creative imagination.

The real joy of reading lies in sitting next to a window pane, sipping your cup of hot coffee, watching the rains brightening the Greenland and thus making you submerge within an adventurous land of fiction while conflicting thoughts cross your mind at every turn of page. It takes you to a different dimension of a beautiful narrative. The themes, the characters and scenarios turn lively and make you more anxious towards the storyline. Just like the legendary classics of Dan Brown, the magical world crafted by JK Rowling, adventurous rides with the character Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan, beautiful set of mystery and deception of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the horror comics of goosebumps by RL Stine and the evergreen imagination of Enid Bylton in his novels. You are immersed in an assembly of thoughts which are provoked at every different incident in the narrative. The spirit and emotions run high as the fluidity of the characters starts taking a significant form in the storyline. Thus, reading turns out to be so vivid and real. It pushes your thinking ability and alters your perspective towards different scenarios in life.

More often, the content in the story turns abstruse and follows a projectile of incidents which normally forces a reader to quit. But, the accumulated thoughts in the mind drives the reader to be more anxious and cross this hurdle in order to progress with the chapters in the story. Sometimes it is hard to come closer to the facts presented in the storyline and you may have a disagreement but at the end you have to chew and digest it all thoroughly to reach the conclusion. That’s the ultimate challenge of reading. It nurtures you as a Reader, it helps in developing your temperament far more tolerant and flexible than being rigid and impatient.

“Until I feared I would lose it, I never loved to read. One does not love breathing.”

~Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird bird.

However, people have moved forward in lives today and are adapting the virtual alternatives of reading a book. Thus, spending time reading a book and getting submerged in the thoughts of the fictional narrative turns out to be a virtual concept. With abundant alternatives of reading a book present virtually in the electronic market, the idea of reading a printed book is considered as time consuming. The advance reading applications with glittery features such as “More than a thousand books, just one touch away” has faded the aroma and mystical chaos of thoughts created by reading a book. The present reading applications provide features of synonyms and available abstract to the reader in order to smoothen the process of reading. But, if we compare these features with the normal practice of reading then the ability to come closer to the synonym of a word by joining the threads of storyline and in turn improving your word power is lost. It makes you a lose reader or maybe a reader and not a learner.

Books are the quietest and most humble companions in the miseries of life. They are a uniquely portable magic. If you’re ever alone or feel disappointed and the thoughts are running at loggerheads thus invading your peace of mind, do read a book. Perhaps, books are the most wisest and easily accessible counsellors. Famous authors and renowned wordsmiths always had a precious and visionary take over reading. It's not essential to only follow the rhythmic chaos of novels and stories and limit your interest of reading. But, even explore the world of original classics, comic, horror flicks, adventures, deception, mystery, science journals that drive your mind insane with abundant knowledge, word power and flexibility in thought process.

So, grab your favorite book, journal or novel and space travel in the wide universe of fiction, drama, adventure, emotions, love, horror, mystery, deception and abundance of knowledge awaiting for you! Enjoy this amazing ride on the “Pathway to Heaven”
