What if you could time travel? You could go back to any time in the past. You could travel back to all those memories you adore and relish so much. You could change any such decision that you regret making. You could talk your younger self and assure them that everything works out just fine. You could prevent any mishaps that might have happened earlier in the past.

What if you could hear other people’s thoughts? You could walk past people and instantly figure what they had in their minds. You could predict everything everyone is about to say. No way could you go wrong with that. You could always tell when someone is lying. Nobody could cheat you because you would know instantly.

What if you were endlessly rich? You could buy everything in world! You could afford those ridiculously expensive items you had always wanted to own. You could buy huge mansions just to store all of your whimsical luxury items. Nothing will be out of your reach. Anything involving money, you would have it under control. In this money driven society, you would be God-like!

What if you were given three wishes? You could ask possibly for anything in the world! You could ask for the ability to go invisible on command, you could fly the skies like a free bird, you could teleport to any location you wish within a blink of an eye, you could gain superpowers like the superheroes you admire so much. You could make absolutely anything in the world possible!

These thoughts truly make you ponder and wish for things that are probably impossible to exist. But they do generate a sense of hope inside all of us. What if this world became a better place to live? What if we attained world peace and lived peacefully thereafter? What if all the existing problems of the world were taken care of? They do help us feel a little better about our lives. Make us believe that better is yet to come. But, in this world filled with people wondering “what if” we often tend to forget “what is”. We overlook the things we already have. We don’t value what is and wish for something more. We are never content with our already owned possessions. Our family, our friends, our loved ones, our belongings, we tend to take all of these for granted. Little do we know, these are the real things that matter. These are the things which get us through our journey of life. Wanting something more is never wrong, but these words, “what if” have the power to eat your brains out and haunt you for years to come. You can’t be overwhelmed by the “what if” or you’ll definitely miss out on “what is”. Never let these mind-boggling thoughts dull out the existing miracles of life. Those are the things which do exist and make up your life!
