"And you have the audacity to justify it..."

Of all the characteristics we expect to have in a person, audacity is the most ambiguous one. The above quote was a weapon to dismiss a notion.

Audacity is a willingness to take bold decisions. In general sense, it's a good characteristic to possess but whenever carelessly exercised, it leads to huge repercussions. People often misjudge audacity as an act of defiance and a challenge to their authority, so their first reaction is to suppress it.

Audacity comes from a deep desire to bring a particular change and history tells us no change can be brought without defiance. This defiance is what irks people but that doesn’t mean it’s always wrong, maybe there was something wrong with this attempt and the result was evident.

Two factors that affect the repercussions of audacity:

Whenever someone is audacious for a change it’s their intentions and approach which determine the outcome of any situation. Any act committed with wrong intentions can never end favorably. Audaciousness for the wrong reason will always be suppressed by someone more powerful.

The second factor, 'approach', is more important to understand. How to be audacious for the right reason? The key lies in limitations.

It is very important to understand what the limitations are in any situation. Audaciousness doesn't mean carelessness, carelessness against the authority whom you are willing to defy is even more unacceptable. In fact, carefulness is a must with audacity. A carefully audacious person attracts the likes of resources which ultimately pushes him to his goal. It may seem impossible in the beginning but slowly one small ripple creates a huge wave of defiance that sweeps across every hurdle creating a new path to bring any change.

Simply explained: Be bold, understand what comes with it!
