if we compare M.Tech and MBA, Both degree’s are good, its depend on you what you want to do in future, At this point when you’re thinking about which one is good for you? here I am doing the detailed comparison of both the degrees.
Now for a general perspective, I put my answers into concrete points.
If you want to make a career in sales, HR world, don't think twice get an MBA. Don’t even think about anything else. A Top Business school will add advantage.
If you want to enter into consulting or finance. Then you have very good skills in mathematics, excellent academics record throughout (10th, 12th, UG). The job is frequent travel-based so the thing needs to be accounted for.
No one will let you touch “venture capital” unless you’re of some 8-10+ year of experience in your domain. so, better be hopeless about it.
IB and consulting are doable, provided you fulfill the requirement.
Based on your background you should choose MBA specialization not just what you get on the name of a school.
For example: if you are a computer science student then choose your specialization according to it, because if you get selected as a managerin the IT industry then your experience help you allot
If you’re preparing for say UPSC exam like many other candidates, join MBA. It really helps you with writing, personal, interpersonal and reading skills.
Here, you can choose M.Tech too but MBA has its own benefits, you’re work will be diluted.
If you’re thinking that the MBA would change your life and make it easy. Don’t go for it. Though it will to a very extent if you’re not good with technical knowledge as you’ll be doing some low skilled work.
If you’re thinking that MBA would make you a big guy like Sundar Pichai in a very short period of time. Don’t do it unless you have a super-duper strong background in you’re domain.
In case of costly school, be ready to pay back a huge amount of loan. Though this thing will keep you pushing positively towards the high paid job in 2years program, as in case of failure from the placement you’re gonna cry hard.
It's extremely hard to find a good job off-campus for MBA’s rather that M.Tech.
M.Tech gives you high-end math touch, which is life-changing from long term perspective if you’re capable of handling it rather than an MBA.
You’ll realize after MBA, that you have learned nothing that is useful to the world except creating job opportunities. Now, this point is wrong but equally right too, this totally depends on the candidate.
“I read this somewhere, keep on filling water in a plate with wholes, you won’t get anything but the plate will be clear after very attempts”.
Now, conclusion.
I think you just want a job. so, Get it!
