We often come across the word ‘aliens’ when we talk about the universe. We have seen many science fiction movies, on an alien invasion, but do all these movies make any sense? Do aliens actually exist? Is there any answer to the most frequently asked question “are we alone?”

We live on a small planet in this enormously huge universe, which has billions of stars, and galaxies in it. Therefore, there is a great amount of possibility of finding extra-terrestrial life in outer space. NASA’s chief scientist Alan Stofan says that such a finding is not that far-off. She suspects that we will find the indications of life within the next decade.

NASA has carried out the various scientific search for extra-terrestrial life from a long back. Scientists from decades have been searching for planets that can support life. As reported by NASA in 2017, has found seven earth-like planets. These planets are at the right distance from their sun and might have a surface that can support life but the atmospheric conditions are still at a question. One can trace the roots of such experiments from 1977 with NASA’s Voyager mission. This mission was designed to conduct close-up studies on Jupiter, Saturn, Saturn’s rings and the larger moons of two planets.

There have been claims of sighting UFOs from various parts of the world but the scientists have proved no evidence of such incidents. Apart from the scientists, archaeologists as well are on their hands to find any evidence of aliens from history.

Known the fact that our Earth did not form until nine billion years of the Big Bang, the battle of finding life on other planets would not be that simple and can take more time than suspected. Although we have a vague image of aliens to be green, human-like creatures as depicted by the movies and cartoons, but could is a possibility of them being on a primitive stage. The aliens do not necessarily have to be highly technological, who would want us to bend our knees and be their slaves. Instead, we could suspect them of being on an initial level to their life. As NASA has said ‘don’t expect little green men but little green microbes’.
