Scientology :The 20th Century Religion

Religion is a sentimental institution.None exploited the attribute more than Scientology.

Scientology was developed by an author named L. Ron Hubbard,in 1950. He was an established author known for his work of science fiction.

Hubbard was a veteran navy officer during World War II and commanded two ships. He was removed from his office as his peers found him incapable.He fired on a Japanese submarine that wasn't there and then an island, which was found to be Mexican, an ally of the United States. Scientology had put a lot of weight on his military career claiming his near to death experiences and injuries are of value to this institution.

Scientology claims not to be science but a religion. 25 years oflegal battle,followed it's official recognition as a religion and exemption from tax.

It's services to man was monetised. Churches established around the world. It's headquarter still stands in California.

In 1950,Dialetics-a modern science on mental health was published and saw the start of Scientology.
Every religion has its own story of origin, Scientology claimed of an alien dictator of the Galactic confendercy, xenon who brought humans to earth 75 million years ago. Xenon put humans in volcanos such that to release their theta in the environment.these angry and upset thetas are responsible for our sorrows and distress.

Dialetics was another part of Scientology which focuses on a technique of counselling called Auditing. Through conversations or machines like E meters, individuals open up of their troubled past.Then they enter the next stage called clearing, the process were auditors remove the trauma.

After clearing, you enter different mini stages of "Operating Theta".
The third level is where you are to sign a confendial contract.
The believers live together and operate nothing less than a cult.

Hubbard passed away in 1986,when he was worth around trillions.
The institution was taken over by David Miscaviage and around the same time saw the rise of celebrity Scientologist, John Travolta,Tom Cruise among others.

The church,the non profit organization amassed millions of wealth while practising forced labour and physical abuse. What were recorded in Audits were less of a confession and records which were used to blackmail people to talk, walk and work as the church directed. Once inside the cult, people were banned from contact with the outer world.

The church of Scientology accepted huge transact of money from each of its followers. The largest FBI investigation of its time was carried out and more or less, it's known as a sham and charlatan institution ,however it's headquarters still stand today in California where it continues to operate behind closed doors and silenced voices, much like other religions.
