The sun's out and it's a beautiful morning. The plants right outside your house seem to be blooming. And the trees? Ah, just serene! Wait, did I say trees? What trees? I meant the building. The scorching sun makes the glass windows on the buildings shine. You are late for work, as your daily routine permits, you're stuck in traffic. The grey smoke from the cars, seem to clouding your view. But that's alright, you're used to it. The city hasn't been clean and green in a very long time. So long, that you don't even have a memory of it. Is this how the world was supposed to be? Where climate change is a serious issue but it isn't even a real thing for some people? We praise our fictional superheroes, our avengers, but who's going to save the world? Who's going to be the world's superhero? If not us, then who?

I don't mean to hurt your feelings but I don't think this relationship of yours with the Earth is working anymore. It's not the Earth's fault, it's yours. And I recently heard something sad about the earth. It's dying. It has approximately 11 more years, till it's condition becomes critical beyond repair. So tell me, did you really love the earth enough? I think, you should apologize to it. It's high time to make some changes. Your lifestyle is greatly affecting Earth's health, and being someone who formerly, supposedly “loved” the earth, kindly do your part.

Maybe begin by actually giving Earth the love it deserves. Because, even though it might not seem serious to you right now, but the truth of the matter is, if Earth dies, you die too. Start using your car less, save water wherever and whenever you can. Basically, remember all the basic things that you've been learning since primary school? Yeah, do that.

Reduce, reuse, and recycle. Cut down on what you throw away. Follow the three "R's" to conserve natural resources. Make sustainable lifestyle choices. Volunteer for cleaning drives in your community. Plant a tree. Trees provide food and oxygen. They help save energy, clean the air, and help combat climate change. SAY NO TO PLASTIC. Everything listed above, isn't new to you. It has crossed your mind countless times but you just never had the will to implement it. But guess what, your will doesn't matter anymore. It is a necessity. If you want to survive, that is. Because, this relationship of yours? It clearly isn't working anymore.
