“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.”
~ Augustine

Like travelling? No? Oh, you love travelling!
Most of us who travel do it simply because it is fun and exciting. Not all of us are aware of the necessity of travelling in real life. We gain our inspiration to travel mostly through the books that we read and movies that we watch. Here’s a list of reasons why you should take a break once in three months and go around exploring new and exciting places.

Travelling widens our range of experience
While travelling to different places, we tend to do a wide range of activities. The activities include tasting exquisite cuisines, visiting the religious places, roaming around the market and collecting exclusive things about the place. Most importantly, we meet new people from several backgrounds and attempt to make a conversation with them broadening our experiences. We also involve ourselves in different sports activities like trekking, river rafting, bungee jumping, paragliding etc.

Travelling enhances our knowledge
With travelling comes the benefit of strengthening one’s knowledge about different places, it’s area, culture, language etc. We learn about their religious beliefs and customs, their different dance and music forms, their food habits and exquisite cuisines. We soak up a lot about different ways of lifestyle management and also about various ways of livelihood. We get the hang of various languages while communicating with the locals of that area. Above all, we grasp a great deal of information about nature and its beauties in that area. While travelling, the historical significance also adds up into our basket of information.

Travelling disrupts the monotony of life
In a fast moving and fast growing world like ours, we often need a change in our daily routine to remain consistent in our work. Travelling does exactly that. We should often retire from our offices or workplaces and plan a getaway for at least a few days. This helps us in relieving most of our stress caused by regularity. Travelling soothes the mind and the body and is like a recreational activity. It also helps in reducing boredom.

Travelling improves our mental and physical health
Travelling to a serene place and having some time and space to ourselves release us of a lot of problems and worries. We often do not realise that travelling gives us clarity of thoughts and helps us in making better decisions. Thus, in turn, travelling aims at improving and maintaining our mental health and consequently, our physical health as well.

Travelling teaches and trains us to be adaptive and adjusting
Travelling gives us an immense opportunity to learn to adapt and adjust in different situations. Travelling, although leisure, constantly exposes us to situations which we overcome somehow or the other.

Travelling helps in wiping out our superstitions, stereotypes and prejudices
Travelling helps us meet new people and develop our mindset according to our personal experiences. Travelling leaves no room for the negative attitudes to grow among people of different latitudes and longitudes. Going to new places and exploring their culture and other attributes erase the pre-existing stereotypes and prejudices about them, if any. It also loosens our rigid superstitious beliefs by giving room to practicality.

Travelling helps in building a good relationship among countries and states
When we travel, we exchange our knowledge, culture and views with the population of the place we travel to. And hence, establish a cordial l relationship for collective existence.

Travelling helps in the growth of the tourism industry
Travelling is urged for the upbringing of the tourism industry. The tourism industry has a major contribution to the total economy of the country.

I urge you to travel and gather the best of experiences and memories. I urge to travel to the lengths and breaths of the wide world and find the happiest of happiness in travelling. Happy travelling!
