Kota, a name which is not uncommon for any student of India especially for all jee and medical aspirants. A place where all the students go with a single dream of cracking Jee and getting a decent rank and thus grabbing a seat in a good IIT(same for neet aspirants who dreams of getting a seat in a renowned mbbs college. But, is it true that all these dreams of lakhs of student come true?

Every year, approximately 1 lakh students go to Kota in order to fulfill their dreams of getting a seat in an examination whose intake is only 10 thousand(or less). So, the internal competition in Kota is much more than those students who are preparing for the same examination all over the country. This increases the fear among the students and if they are not able to perform as per their expectations then they think that they are of no use and jee/neet is not their cup of tea and take wrong decisions which are very foolish.

Kota is not just a name, it's an important pathway of one's life which decides the direction in which a particular student will go. Yes, we know that a single sheet of paper can't decide one's future but what a student will be doing in his/her next 4-5 years is decided by the hard work you have done in Kota.
Now, after coming to Kota, one has to decide in which institute he/she is going to take admission. There are 6 big institutes in Kota :

Allen Career Institute
Resonance Private Limited
Vibrant Academy
Bansal Classes
Motion Classes
Career Point
And the new player in the game:
Nucleus Academy
and many more small institutions.
Most of the times a newcomer to Kota only after listening to some known persons in Kota, decides that he is going to take admission in any X institute without knowing anything about the X institute whether it will be helpful in his preparation or not.

After 2 or 3 months, he accepts that this is his truth and tries to adjust with the condition. Then, the real battle starts. On the very first day, every student is like, now I will crack jee/neet for sure with a good rank, who is there to stop me, as like all the faculties of his/her respective institutes will take him and directly throw him in any IIT or AIIMS without any effort from the student's side. But the reality is quite harsh and exactly opposite to what a student believes.

Most of the students who come to Kota are the toppers of their school, town, district. So, they think that clearing an exam would be an easy task for them without knowing the fact that high school marks don't matter here much. You can show off your high school percentage for a few initial days but then you will get to know that most of the students there have got almost the same marks what you have got. There is no relation between your high school marks and your performance in tests over there. A student with 95 ℅ can score low marks in the test and a student who got a mere 65-70℅ can perform better. There are a lot of factors which can affect a student's performance. They are :

1. Homesickness: Almost 90℅ students in Kota are from that category who have left their home for the first time so it takes time to them to adjust with the new situations and most of the time they just remember their home and family members.

2.Food and Climate: Students coming over there are mostly from different states and having different food taste. So, if they don't take food properly then this decreases their focus and concentration towards studies. Also, they find it hard to bear the hot climate of Kota.

3. Friendship and free atmosphere:
All the students are not staying with their parents and they are free to do whatever they want to and no one will be stopping them from doing so.

Your friend circle too is a deciding factor for your career, especially in Kota. If you make good and studios friends who are serious and focused towards their future then it will be helpful for both of you. If you just want to enjoy your life and choose a friend circle like that only then you will be having nothing in your hand at the D-Day.

So, to all the students who are planning to start their career at Kota and to them who are already over there, it is a kind request that if you are giving your useful and crucial time and precious money of your parents then don't just waste this in enjoying life. You can enjoy it in a much better way after achieving your goal, for which you came to Kota. Just give your 100℅ and don't get demotivated after seeing the results of a few periodic tests. If you will keep on working hard then the final day will be yours.

Even if you don't get the desired result after giving your 100℅ then believe that something better is waiting for you. And don't ever think of ending your life because it is very precious to your parents, friends, and well-wishers and is much more important than some examinations of your life that were not meant for you.
