Lansdowne is a very peaceful and beautiful hill station. It became popular since britishers came to India.

Its situated at an altitude of 1,700 meters. This place got its name after Lord Lansdowne, the viceroy of India during the period of 1888 – 1894.

It’s a small town about 39kms away from Kotdwar. You can take train from Delhi to kotdwar and then any bus or taxi will take you to Lansdowne.

It’s a small, untroubled lake located at 1 km walk from Lansdowne. It’s a perfect spot to spend a soothing day in Lansdowne. You can enjoy boating too at bhulla tal.

TIN in TOP –

Tip in the top is the best spot in Lansdowne. It's about 1.5 km away from Lansdowne. It’s a small top viewpoint from where you can watch complete skyline with mesmerizing Shivalik range. There are small nice huts provided for night stay.

St. Johns Church –

This church is between the way to St. Marys Church. It was established in 1936, it’s a must visit a place with beautiful interiors and a calm atmosphere.

Tarkeshwar Mahadev Temple –

Tarkeshwar Mahadev Temple is surrounded by green deodar trees and quiet atmosphere which provides peace to our heart and mind. IIt'sabout 1800 meters at a distance of 38 km of Lansdowne.
