I am a 90s kid and there are few things that only people born in 90s would understand. We have seen a lot of changes. Children of this generation will never know the feeling of landline telephones, cassettes and limited message packs. But what I miss the most are the epic cartoon shows in our childhood. Here is the list of classic cartoons that every child should watch:

Tom and Jerry

We all love the endless chase of Tom for Jerry. The cat and the mouse are all time favorite. You can never get bored of them. I must say Tom is a highly optimistic cat who always plots and plans to catch Jerry. But every time Jerry outsmarts him and runs away. Poor Tom!

Ducktales

As the name suggests, this show is about a duck family. Uncle Scrooge is a millionaire but a miser who lives with his three nephews. I cannot forget that scene when Scrooge jumps in his treasure of gold coins as if he is swimming in his treasure. Ya, he had that much of wealth. The uncle and the kids had some or the other adventure in every episode. And Uncle Scrooge is always worried about his money.

Power Puff girls

Before Wonder Woman, there were three cute super heroines who used to save the world from the villain monkey Mojo jojo. Blossoms, Bubbles and Buttercup are the most adorable super heroines, I have ever come across.

Dexter’s laboratory

Dexter is the smartest kid who has a laboratory at his home. Didi, his sister, is a bubbly girl who often disturbs him. A kid engaging in scientific experiments; it is enough to attract anybody towards the show.

Timon and Pumba

One of the greatest lessons in life that I have learnt is from this cartoon. “Hakuna Matata” ; meaning no worries. The buddies actually came from the movie The Lion King and later became a cartoon show. What entertained us the most? Timon and Pumba have such a carefree and adventurous life. Pumba’s innocence and disgusting habits (yes he farted a lot) and Timon’s selfish behavior that he gives up for his friend.

Talespin

This is the only show with portraying the adventures of a pilot. The plane flying, spinning and gliding between the hills or among the trees, it thrills us thoroughly. Baloo, the bear is the is the pilot who flies the yellow coloured plane tactfully.

Hercules

I don’t know about others, but this cartoon helped me a lot to become aware about Greek mythology. Based on the myth of Hercules and Hades as the villain who is always planning to kill Hercules; Hercules is funny in many ways. All the Gods and their portrayal are amusing. Best part: the blue fire on the head of Hades substituting his hair.

Johny Bravo

Remember that blonde handsome hunk with shades and black t-shirt? Johny Bravo is indeed a satire on all the people who are too much into looks but lack in all the other aspects. Despite being charming, Johny never gets a girl. A classic example of “looks are not everything”

There are a lot many cartoons that I forgot to mention I guess. I tried to cover all the variety that was available. Suggest me in the comment section. Hope you enjoyed reading it!
