Pinnacles are not trivial source of religion and culture, but it’s height resembles the spiritual or mental development of a well-being. Spiritually it symbolizes constancy, permanency, motionlessness, and it’s peak spiritually signifies the state of absolute consciousness. Twenty two percent surface of earth and approximate thirteen percent of world’s population live in mountains. They possess a wide variety of the vegetations as well as animal species.

It is well said,” A cold wind was flowing from a certain direction, and it made the trees whisper like living things.” Peaks possess such attracting charming capacity that you will get lost into its beauty, and our country is rich in terms of number of pinnacles. From the peaks of Himalyas(HinduKush) to the edges of Kanya kumari, from Shatpura range in west India to Mount Iso in East of India, India has treasure of Seven major peaks.

HinduKush

This pinnacle is the newest on Earth,yet this is geologically active i.e. within next million years the land of Indus will move 1500 kms further into Asia and due to this, this region is susceptible to natural phenomenon like tremors, earthquakes, and landslides. Nepalese people call it by ‘Sagarmatha’ while ‘Giriraj’ is quite famous among Indians which literally translates into “The king of mountains”.

Aravalli Range

It is one of the oldest peak of the World. In local language it is being translated into” Peak Line.” Aravallis are quite famous as well as it attracts tourists too, and Mount Abu which is the only hill station in Rajasthan, that lies here.

Shatpura Range

This Peak and Vindhya Range basically lies in central of India, when seen telescopically these two spectacular pinnacles seem to run adjacent to each other, Between these two ranges,peak of shatpura is higher.

Govardhan Mountain

This Parvat, situated near Mathura is known for its great religious significance in almost all states of India and as per the Hindu methodology, this parvat is decreasing by size equal to size of mustard seed every day because of curse given by Rishi Pulatsaya.

Mount Everest

If we are talking about mountains and do not mention Mount Everest then it will feel like something is missing, Although Mount Everest is not in India. It lies in boundary of Nepal and Tibet.

Unlike Govardhan Parbat, it grows by about a quarter of an inch every year.

Winding up whole discussion, we can say that India is land of Variations where we can find everything, either in small quantities and its our responsibility to maintain it.
