The Victoria Secret runaway model Kendal Jenner, recently, came out to the media talking about her acne issues, and comments that people have made on online platforms about it, and how it left her crying for days. It is a well-known fact that celebrities and people who are part of the entertainment business across the globe face immense pressure to look beautiful and perfect all the time. The idea of looking glamourous can sometimes take a toll on their health, and can even break them at times.
Kendal Jenner, on the other hand, has not shied away from talking about her not looking her best all the time. She has been very open to media about acne issues and how she cannot always look perfect and glamourous the way media projects it to be. It is because of models, and celebrities looking perfect all time, puts pressure on girls especially in urban areas to look perfect and beautiful all the time. They fantasies about matching up to their favourite celebrities body-type and look beautiful all-time. This is an unrealistic image portrayed by the media has led many suicides by the celebrities themselves.
While most celebrities get cosmetic surgeries done and but Kendal Jenner has chose not to do that and instead talk about her battle with Acne. In an interview to Vogue magazine, she said in order to get rid of her acne especially during a red carpet event she uses pro-activ solution. She uses on her face for a week before the event in order to have flawless and beautiful skin.
Kendal Jenner while talking to the media also went on to say that, ‘It can really mess you up.’ ‘It’ referring to trolling faced by her online. Jenner has given a rebuttal to the media and people online who think stars and celebrities especially women to always look beautiful. Women on everyday basis face pressure look beautiful, slim and flaunt unnatural beauty. Her personal struggle with acne showcases the normal side of models which it usually not reflected, talked about by their colleagues, or even by the individual in question here. She goes on to say, "I have cried endlessly for days coz of things people have said to me, and I've had to become stronger through it," she said. "I mean, don't get me wrong: I am not superhuman. I definitely feel, and the things people say online are very hurtful. You also just have to live you are life and not pay attention to it. I think it can get pretty unhealthy if you really are deep in it and paying attention to it all the time. I think that that's what can really mess you up."
After this interview and many other media appearances, she has partnered with pro-active and has credited the company for her glowing skin. She wishes to promote the brand and encourage young women and girls to use the product if they are facing acne issues just like her and that they should not feel disheartened by not having that flawless skin, and that with good products, healthy eating they true can achieve acne free healthy looking skin.
