Many of us have oily skin and sometimes it gets quite complicated to take care of it. When you wake up early in the morning ready to face the challenges thrown at you on a daily basis, our skin also needs care and protection to go through the day. Oily skin can be due to the large pores and excess secretion of sebaceous gland that is nothing but oil gland. Let's move towards how to take care of your oily skin.

  • Wash your skin at least twice a day

We need to keep our skin free from toxins and dust. Every day we go out to face the sun and go through our long day. The dust particles get stuck to your face and we need to get rid of it.

  • Use a mild face wash

I have been using a Medimix Ayurvedic antipimple cleanser with Multani mitti and cinnamon. It keeps my skin clear and I have been having minimum breakouts from the past 2-3 months. Select your face pack or face wash, according to your skin type.

  • Drink enough water

We should start our day with at least 1-2 glasses of water. Try to consume at least 2-3 liters of water. It keeps you hydrated and at the same time prevents breakouts.

  • Use sunscreen

We have to step out in the sun on a regular basis, whether it be attending colleges or going to work or even just to walk around. Our skin is exposed to the UV rays emitting from the sun, it causes a lot of damage to our skin. Always wear sunscreen even if you are at home.

  • Avoid touching or popping acne

By touching or popping your acne, it might lead to scarring. You should try and avoid touching your face as much as possible.

  • Change your pillow covers on a regular basis

Our pillow covers have germs on them if we don't change it on a weekly basis. Our face comes in contact with it whenever we sleep this could lead to breakouts.

  • Never over exfoliate

Our skin still needs those oils for hydration. We should never over exfoliate as it will cause damage to the cell.

  • Detoxify once in a while

The breakouts could be a result of toxins present in the blood. Having a lot of water or having detox water can help in clearing off your skin.

  • Visit a Dermatologist

If the breakouts are getting serious and frequent then you should visit a dermatologist. The person will help you with some creams, gels or even antibiotics in several cases.
