Reeha continued reading the letter, 'The problem that we were suffering from seemed to be endless. Things were becoming worse than before. The government officers tried negotiating with us, but we were reluctant. Finally, they started creating problems for us. They came to our village and burnt our huts. As a protest, we banned their entry for any further interaction. But they were smart enough they registered a complaint against us as took the matter to court. The court called for a meeting, and we all had to register there. Since there was no one in the village, the officers took advantage of this opportunity and burnt our farms.

On the other hand, the court applied charges of propagating violence against the government. According to the court's order, we could not impose any further violence against the officers to protect our farms. As we reached the village, we saw our farms had turned to ashes. The hard work that we invested in our farms, the pain that we took all went in vain. That year we had no grains, no money, our animals died due to no stock. The condition of our village became worst. Due to no grains, we couldn't sell anything in the market. Situations became even worse when the plague hit Kamarkh. It affected everyone, but mostly the children. Their death rate increased. Our, village, which was considered as one of the wealthiest communities, had lost everything. Since we resisted government policies, we could not ask for medical help to stop the plague. Bad times arrived, and we couldn't do anything, neither we could help our children nor animals. We lost.

The head of the village called for another meeting. It was decided that we would hand over all our land and core farms to the 'Sarkar' and in turn, they will provide us all facilities of agriculture, medicines, pesticides, farm machines and would give us double the price of the lost farms so that we could regenerate our farming areas. A letter was typed by the Munshi Ji and sent to the Krishi Welfare Office. Finally, the government agreed and promised us to fulfill all our demands within one year of paperwork and lane construction. We all agreed to the terms and policies'
