Resilience is that ineffable quality that allows some people to be knocked down by life and come back at least as strong as before. Rather than letting difficulties or failure overcome them and drain their resolve, they find a way to rise from the ashes. Psychologists have identified some of the factors that make a person resilient, among them a positive attitude, optimism, the ability to regulate emotions, and the ability to see failure as a form of helpful feedback. Resilience is not some magical quality; it takes real mental hard work to transcend hardship. But even after misfortune, resilient people are able to change course and move toward achieving their goals.

When we talk about resilience, we are describing a persons ability to cope with ups and downs and bounce back from the challenges that life can throw at us. resilient young people are better able to make sense of the world around them, build strong relationships and seek out support when they experience difficulties. My article basically focuses on how young mind use social media and online communities as an important distraction from the pressures of life and when they face challenging life experience, traumatic experience and the protective and positive role played by social media in helping them tocope up with life’s stress and challenges.Resilience is also important to student wellbeing and academic success. It explains why some children overcome overwhelming obstacles, sometimes clawing and scraping their way to successful adulthood, while others become victims of these hardships. We need to foster skills of self-awareness, self-management social awareness etc. in children and this helps to build a resilient mindset.

What is important to remember is that resilience can even be the ability to reach out for help, and recognizing when we need support. It is not only about being strong, sometimes we need to ask for help too.Building resilience is the key to #FearlessLearning, even when it gets tough, or we fail miserably at what we were trying to achieve, if we allow ourselves to learn fearlessly and be resilient then we can overcome any obstacle, thrive, and be our best selves. It makes a big difference in people’s life.

Hence it is of utmost important for youth to be resilient in order to succeed in life. They need to develop strengths, acquire skills to cope, recover from hardships, and be prepared for future challenges. Its a necessary requirement in facilitating personal growth, whilst enabling children and young people to successfully navigate life and life challenges.

We can also argue that building resilience is very important for all young people because of the number of significant life events and challenges that occur in the transition from being a child athome to being a self-supporting adult. Young people who are not resilient will be more likely to respond to stress by developing anxiety and depression.
