Literacy In India

Literacy has historically been thought of as reading and writing.
It doesn’t means only the ability to read and write but it also means the ability to understanding the nature , environment ,the folks around us.
Ya, literacy starts from childhood. When child start speaking, her / his literacy journey starts. The family, teachers, neighbors are all the components which helps in the journey.

Education is the most powerful instrument to fight against inequality as well as poverty.
For individual, for country literation is the most important thing to adjust with current researches.
Literacy is the key of creating new things. If we know some basics then only we can apply it, can create something from it.
It is an effective tool to bring about social changes.
Life becomes easier due to education.
Education gives job opportunities, and comfortable living.
The ability to read, write, and communicate connects people to one another and empower them to achieve things they never thought attainable.

The overall literacy rate within the country have gone up to 74.4%, however the drop in the illiteracy rate has not matched the rise in population.
The most literate state in India is Kerala. It have 93.91% literacy.
The least literate state in India is Bihar. It is with a literacy of 63.82%.

The importance of literacy can be stated at two levels- National and Individual.
Literacy is important to economic development as well as individual and community well-being.
Literacy is a crucial start line that brings awareness in people to work towards an improved living.
It helps them to interrupt freed from shackles of ignorance, avoid getting manipulated, and being missed out of the mainstream.
At an individual level, the increased confidence of each new literate to achieve the impossible bears heartwarming testimony to the power of literacy.
Having smart literacy skills enhances a country’s quality of life by reducing poorness, lowering unemployment.
Persons with adequate literacy skills maintain higher health through their ability to grasp and interpret health data.
One wants adequate literacy skills to participate and perform/ function happily and to contribute within communities.
Literacy skills allows us academic and employment opportunities in order that people are able to pull themselves out of poorness and chronic employment.
Education conjointly produces well-cultured and wise men. It is the actual fact that the children of these days are the citizens of tomorrow.
Strong literacy and numeracy skills lay the foundation for all students to succeed at school, at work and their everyday life.
Basics of who we are, how we live together and way of interacting with the globe are communication, affiliation/ connection.
