We all have so many dreams which we genuinely want to achieve but then there is something which holds us back - it is our self doubt. Self doubting is lacking confidence in oneself, one's abilities. Am I good enough? What if I fail? What if others don't like my work? It is high time to remove all these 'what ifs'.

Self doubt creates a chain of uncertainty. It always keeps you stuck and doesn't let you go ahead. If you don't address the feelings of self doubt, they can eat away at your confidence and lessen your opportunities. Learn to treat yourself as your best friend. Words like never, no one are rigid and unrealistic, only adding to your sense of insecurity. Have this 'you are worthy' on loop in your head and trick your brain into thinking you feel empowered by repeating this mantra. Keep a record of your achievements. They would boost you. If required, get a daily dose of motivation through videos, books, podcasts etc. Invite positive people into your life. A strong support system is always an asset. Enrich existing relationships. Being able to verbalize your doubts to others can help you get their perspective and have a new look.
Self doubt kills more dreams than anything else. You took those dreams for a reason and have the ability to achieve the same. Then why getting involved into the negative self talk? Critics are good, they make you realise where are you going wrong. But over thinking about it is certainly a mess. Parents always say - if you doubt about how far you can go, remember how far you have come. Why to come up with worst-case scenarios in our heads instead of focusing on positive outcomes? Stop doubting yourself, work hard and make it a reality.

Perfectionism is not possible. So allow yourself to screw up and fail. Learn from it and be better. Avoid comparison. If you won't stop comparing yourself with others, you would never live up to the mythical standards others have set. The more action you take to overcome yourself, the more confidence you build. Sharpen your skills and nurture yourself. Remember self doubt is the worst enemy to creativity.
