Germany. A country located in the heart of an old continent comprising of 16 states. A country famous for cars world wide and well known for its rich culture. The berlin wall, Hitler, world war and beer come to the mind when one hears the word "history" about this country. Apart from that, this country is also famous for chocolates and castles. And these places are something right out of a fairy tale.

Burg eltz:

This castle was built in the 11th century. It sits on top of a 70 metre rock and is covered with trees. This structure has survived an astounding 850 years of war and earth. Walking through this castle is walking through a the damsels and knights in shining silver armors.

Schwerin castle:

Remember the midnight strike and the shoe that was left behind? Yup Cinderella it is. And this castle clearly brings all that to memory. It was reconstructed for over a 1000 years and was expanded in area. This castle is located in the island of schwerin and is surrounded by mesmerizing garden and parks.

The toutoburg forest:

In the 9th AD, this forest was the war ground for the Roman and the German tribes. The Romans were defeated and it was a historic battle. Today, walking and cycling through these areas are allowed.

Lichtenstein castle:

The girl who was cursed to sleep for over a hundred years until her prince charming came on a white horse. The sleeping beauty! This castle resembles the one in that fairy tale. This was built in the 19th century and leans upon a towering rock. It is situated on the edge of the Swabian alps.

Eibsee

Eibsee is a lake with crystal- clear water. It is situated in the german alps. It is the perfect view for a wonderful scenery. It is at the foot of Germany's highest mountain, Zugspites. It can be explored through boat rides or a 7 kilometre treking trail the surrounds the lake.
