We all love pastries. Especially when it comes to cakes, we love them just the way they are, no matter what. Here, all these contemporary bakers took the art of baking cakes to the next level! They adorn and decorate their cakes with their excellent artistic baking techniques. Their cakes sure do belong in an art museum than in a cake shop.

Mathematical cakes

Dinara kasko was a former architect who found passion in baking. Her cakes have a perfect mathematical texture. With all the curves , puzzle pieces, spheres and mathematical knowledge she transformed the cakes into an edible science!

Architectural confections

Tortik Annushka, a Moscow based bakery which is run by a family. They bake cakes which have a unique structure and taste. Their cakes feature contemporary designs with organic circles and curves which are all asymmetric.

Cubic cakes

Cedric grolet is a French pastry chef. He was inspired by a rather stream of science and brilliance- the Rubik's cube. Each of his pastries have 27 separate pieces which are decorated uniquely which makes an excellent puzzle-pastry.

Stroke cakes

Kalabasa is a Russian bakery which bakes astounding cakes that are inspired from an artist's brush stroke on a canvas. These strokes are made from sugar and are designed according to the cakes' theme.

According to them, like the abstract art, no two cakes are alike.

Paper treats

Jasmin Rae, a baker based in San Francisco, designs and produces cakes which are inspired from the modern art.

Her decorations include wafers, rice paper flowers, metallic creams and rice paper ruffles. These cakes make us gaze at it with wonder.

Marble cakes

These cakes are designed by KUF studios. Their extra ordinary cakes have a unique unusual blend of mouth watering flavors. As the name suggests they do look like marbles. They are, in a way, one-of-a-kind cakes.
