Dragonfly: A Deep And Significant Creature

A dragonfly is an insect belonging to the order Odonata, infraorder Anisoptera with a life span of 6 months. Now, let us keep all this science aside. Did you know that dragonflies have been around for about 300 million years. Their lives are connected to two elements of the earth: air and water. Dragonflies are the essence of the winds of change and carry a very deep and significant meaning in various cultures.

They believed that that the dragonflies were the keepers of dreams and showed the path of a person's true potential. Native Americans believe that dragonflies signify happiness, speed and purity. According to their culture, dragonflies strip away all the negativity helping to achieve goals and dreams. They also believe that they are a good luck charm.
