NID has 6 campuses in total of which 3 are very active.The main campus is located in Ahmedabad and it is also known as the Heritage campus.
The following courses running in Ahmedabad are Animation and Film Design,Ceramic and Glass,Exhibition,Film and Video Communication,Furniture and Interior,Graphic,Product Design and Textile Design.
One of the campuses is situated in Gandhinagar which is known as Post Graduate campus.It offers post graduate courses in Animation and Film,Ceramic and Glass,Film and Video Communication,Furniture and Interior Design,Graphic,Product and Textile Design.
The Bengaluru campus of NID is known as the R and D campus which has specialized in research and development activities related to design.
The other three campuses,Kurukshetra,Jorhat(Assam) and Vijayawada, offer 4-year Diploma courses in undergraduate section.
Mode of Admission -NID Entrance(3-phase).Initially the first round is held in the first week of January and the registration begins by October end.
Fees:Every year there will be an increase in the fees.As a whole, it will cost around 12 lakhs for 4 years.

NIFT has 16 campuses located at various parts of the country such as Bengaluru,Bhopal,Bhubaneswar,Chennai,Gandhinagar,Hyderabad,Jodhpur,Kangra,Kannur,Kolkata,Mumbai,New Delhi,Patna,Raebareli,Shillong and Srinagar.There are mainly 5 disciplines in NIFT and they are Bachelor of Design(B.Des) in 6 categories being Fashion Design,Accessory Design,Leather Design,Fashion Communication,Textile Design and Knitwear Design.The other course is Masters of Design(M.Des) in Space Design and CAD/CAM.In the technological field, there are two disciplines such as Bachelor of Fashion Technology(B.F.Tech) and Master of Fashion Technology(M.F.Tech).In the management field, they provide a course named Masters of Fashion Management(MFM).
Mode of Admission:
B.Des:NIFT Entrance with General ability and Creative ability test. (If selected in entrance then situation test).
B.F.Tech:Only Entrance with General ability test but the candidate must be from any of the backgrounds such as Physics,Mathematics or Chemistry.
MFM:Entrance with General ability test and then if shortlisted ,he/she will have a Personal Interview and Group Discussion.The candidate can be from any background.
M.F.Tech:Entrance with General ability test and if selected, he/she will be called for Interview and Group Discussion.The candidate should be from Engineering field or should have a B.F.Tech degree.
M.Des:Entrance with General ability test and Creative ability test.If shortlisted in first round then you will be called for Personal Interview and Group Discussion.
Fees:3 lakhs per year and there will be a hike in the fee structure every year.
