In all its summery glow and glory
The sun shone, that day, not so bright
The breezy and crisp evening
Lit by the dusky light.
Us all were to bid buddies bye
To meet again in a short while
But I was bound to your presence
Raw obliviousness held strongly, yet fragile.
Forehead shone, cheeks hued
Also gold among the hair a few
And your nose, don't take me there
How so perfect you?
The light from the sun at dusk
Is a thing of beauty and art
And upon you, oh-so-serene
That prevents me to part.
And then it occurred to me
Why the poets do the sun so praise
When sunlight turns to and towards sunshine
The heart turns around in jolly craze.
That day it happened with me too
Though no, he isn't mine
When sun still hypnotized me
To see him as sunshine.
