The reason behind this is acceptable only in the ancient days but now this practice is just not needed. During the early times, there was no electricity. Therefore when the inmates sweep the house during dark many wealthy stuffs lying on the floor mat be swept off along with the dust. Else, half of the dust may not be swept properly due to the darkness. Due to this reason people were asked not to sweep during night time.

These are just few from the myth collection to indicate how foolish we've been throughout. They used the weapon of ghost to handle us which we later added reality to restrict ourselves within the loop. There are times where even the brave ones feared for the unexpected change occuring around. They did not wish to cross the border of superstition.
