Water is essential for human existence and propagation of all biotic life. India ranks fifth in the world after Zaire, Russia, Canada and the United states in potential water power resources.

But mere possession is no reason for celebration.
The major concerns are the presence and absence of water as floods and draughts occurring at the same time in different parts of the country.

There were some disputes in sharing of Cauvery waters between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu as farmers of both the states face acute water shortages. There was a huge controversy in building of the Sardar Sarovar dam on river Narmada.

Snow fed rivers like Ganga, Brahmaputra and their tributaries are perennial. They continue to flow throughout the year. We are blessed with such great sources of waters .The perennial and often inundating rivers of the north will be connected with the dwindling and rather seasonal rivers of south through a network of canals so the former stops overflowing and the latter are regularly replenished, curbing floods and famines and the same time.

What an excellent management system is established for the management of water in the various parts of India. But the completion such a herculean project is a huge task. People call this a network of problem rather than a network of solution. The people who face the situation of rehabilitation face many problems while completion of such projects but managers and people at top of the pyramid must realize and keep in face the major problems that may be arise due these herculean projects. People must also be satisfied while building these dams and canals and all the area acquired by the government in completion of such projects must be compensated with either an appropriate sum of money or some perks that help these people in future.

So I would like to conclude that it is very important in any process of management that managers must realize and work out on all the possible outcomes that may cause hiccups to the mango people.
