Vast patriotism

Patriotism is very important in Thai culture. The country was never colonised by european power, which is the main national pride for them. The national anthem is played twice in a day and the national flag is also waved in various places. Also, The king anthem is played before movies start in the cinema hall.

People smile when happy and sad

Thailand is also known as the land of smiles. This is because people here are constant smiling. They smile not only when they are happy but even put a fake smile too when they are low or sad. This surely gives a message that “It is good to smile even at hard times too”

Raising your voice is unacceptable

Thai people are lovely and kind. Raising the voice in front of anyone is considered to be unacceptable in the country. Also, people here lower their head in front of elder and important people. Being quiet and humble is the most important approach in this city.

They don't open gifts in front of others

It is common in thailand to not open the gift until the guest leaves the house as it would be impolite to open it while other people are staring at you. Assoon as they get the gift, they put it aside and open it after the guest leaves the house.

Pointing others is rude

Pointing others in Thailand is known to be disrespectful. Especially, if you visit Thailand, you should keep in mind that pointing monks and other members of the royal family is offensive.

Family is first priority

For people in Thailand, Family comes first before anything. Not only this, families in the country are mainly joint families and are large. They also keep the strong link with other members of their families even if they live far away.

Monks are admired

In Thailand, Monks are highly respected. You can see Monks almost everywhere in Thailand. There are special seats designated for monks and females should be more careful around monks i.e. not touching a monk or directly handling things to them.

Shoes should be taken off

When entering into anybody's home, shoes should be taken off. As it is seen that shoes are walked on the ground and carries all the dust so it is kind to take them off before entering the house.
