Paki, paki! (came a rude indignant voice from a distance)
The man walked indifferently. The voice came again, now from a lesser distance.
I am talking to you ******!!!
The man stopped.(stupefied at the sudden call)
The white man approached and faced him.
Man- What? Why are you talking to me like that?
The white man- Because you are an Indian. You say derogatory statements on the Internet. Why can't I? (Accompanied with a rough laugh)

The man- Having heard this, can I leave now? (Disinterested in arguing)
The white man- Ha ha! Go, run. Run to your country of snakes and babas. We don't need you. Or rather, open the internet and spill your venom there.

The man-How ignorant are your views? Do you think India is only a land of snake charmers? Come out of your preconceived notions and see modern India, then comment further. And By the way Uncle, I am a Pakistani, but what you said of India was too stereotypical.

The white man- This is worse. You are from the land of terrorism.Go away terrorist, we are a peaceful country. And please don't bomb at my house for saying this.( Walking away from the Pakistani man)

The new immigrant to a European country was flabbergasted. He didn't expect this kind of welcome in the country. To be tagged as a terrorist, the moment you enter a country is certainly worse than a nightmare. The white man(whose national identity I have kept undisclosed, so that the man becomes a relatable figure for all) passed demeaning statements without a pinch of hesitation. He had an easy air in his speech.

While the incident is imaginary, it is not far from imagination. The degree of racism however differs from one region to another.

It is startling that the USA, which stands as a flag bearer of modernism, flouting traditional rudimentary norms, typecastedIndia to Bollywood, mocking the Indo-Pak tensions over Kashmir. It would be fun to watch them fight, with the dancing soldiers marching from India, said the American TV host in a jeering tone.

A conflict is fun to watch!!! Just because they may have seen a lot of dancing and singing in Bollywood movies, they cannot hold such opinions. It is insensitive to Bollywood film Industry and most importantly India, whose conflicts are talked about in a displeasing fashion.

Pakistan too faces stereotypes in a similar light. The above example hints at the growth of ISLAMOPHOBIA in the world, which the religious entity from both India and Pakistan is not free from. Islamophobia could be defined as the fear, hatred or prejudice the Islamic religion or Muslims. This Anti-Muslim Sentiment in the West is constantly growing.

Islamophobia and the reasons and repurcussions of it is a burning issue today. The issue must not be looked superficially but by dwelling into the very roots of it, which I leave for another day and time.

Till then, Peace and happiness..:)
