The King Of Indian Premier League- Chennai Super Kings

The defending champions, the invincible, the comebackers, and known by many other names. They are not only the kings but the super kings of the biggest domestic cricket league of the world i.e. Indian Premier League (IPL). The people know them by the name of Chennai Super Kings. Many legends have played so far in this team which includes Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Mathew Hayden, Stephen Fleming, Suresh Raina etc. the Chennai Super Kings hold the most winning percentage record (61.56). they also hold the record of most appearance in Indian Premier League finals (seven times) and playoffs (nine times).

Team history

During the first IPL player auction in January 2008, the Chennai Super Kings bought many star players such as Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Stephen Fleming, Muttiah Muralitharan. MS Dhoni was the costliest player of the team. At their first session, their hopes to reach finals are crushed by Royal Challengers Bangalore in playoffs. However, Mathew Hayden got the orange cap for most runs scored in that session (572 runs). In 2010, Chennai Super Kings played some fabulous games and won not only the IPL of that session but also became the first team of IPL to win Champions League T20. But sadly two of the legends, Mathew Hayden and Stephen Fleming took retire from cricket during the following session giving their fans a perfect gift of victory. In 2011, the history repeats again and they had successfully defended the title and became the first team to win two consecutive IPL sessions. After that, many players were exchanged and they have also given quite a good performance. But on the 2015 session, a huge blow strikes them when their owners were accused of getting involved in 2013 betting case along with Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings were suspended for two years as a result, they were not allowed to play in 2016 and 2017 sessions. But however, they make a perfect comeback in 2018 session and again successfully lifted the title which has inspired many people who have failed in their life.

So far CSK has proved themselves and created an awesome legacy. They have got the most energetic fans in the whole of India. Their records of winning at their home ground, the M.A Chidambaram stadium is terrific. We hope that this session also they will continue to grow their legacy and defend their title and continue inspiring others with their victories.
