So many people are obsessed with becoming perfect that they never take action and they never learn to enjoy this moment. This may be the greatest tragedies any of us can face in our lives. We failed to enjoy the present moment no matter whatever we are, however, we are, however good we are or whatever we have accomplished in our lives because we have a judgment about who we are deep down and because we haven’t acted in a way that’s perfect.
We have this drive .its innate in us .we want to be great. it one of the five primary human drives to pursue mastery in whatever we are doing and to be truly extraordinary.
Be it any activity, we always want to give our best and leave no stone unturned.we always set some benchmark for us to achieve and contantly compare ourself with the person we admire.
And at the end of the day when that benchmark we had set was not completed, wego into self-doubt.
We tell our self that “we can never be perfect like that person we admire” and put yourself in stress and deep depression.
But don’t let this drive corrode you, don’t ever do something that eats you alive from inside. You’ve got to have a vision of yourself that allows you to morph and change and learn from mistakes.
But if you value perfection over learning then you are never going to become the person that you would be capable of becoming.
“THE THING THAT IS REALLY HARD AND REALLY AMAZING IS GIVING UP OF BEING PERFECT
AND BEGINNING THE WORK OF BECOMING YOURSELF”
BY Anna Quindle
All of us are something precious, amazing and unique like our unique DNA.
And we all were raised in a different way and in a different time period.you will literally never find this exact mind again. So, why to compare?
And if you ever wanted to feel special then you have to tell yourself that you are special because no one will ever have this exact combination again.
But if you are striving for some notion of what you should be and have some vision of what perfection is then you will never have space to really be you.
If only you open yourself up to be different and when you are willing to be the outcast, suddenly you can think differently and suddenly you can be different and act differently.
There’s the only one you and you might as well be you. you might as well see what does that look like when it's taken all the way to the extreme.
