The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo... The Girl Who Played With Fire... The Girl Who Kicked Hornet's Nest...

3 Books, 2000 pages, 2 lead characters, greatest thrillers of all time.

Though I had the chance to read these books, I didn't dare to attempt as they looked huge and I found the titles very funny(i know that's lame). But when I saw the rating for these books on the Goodreads website, I understood the potential of these books. While ' The Alchemist ', ' Origin', has only 3.85 ratings to them, the trilogy has 4.15, 4.23, 4.22 ratings to them.

Even before reading the books, I read about the author which was more interesting because of the fact that he died as soon as he completed 3 books in the series whereas he wanted this series to be 10 books series. The controversies following his death were not the things he deserved.

Though all the titles are about a girl, the first book wouldn't reveal about the protagonist early. But instead, has a great story of a Journalist in Sweden who works for an Independent Magazine named Millennium. After losing a libel case against a renowned business person, his life turns out to be very interesting and daring because of his new project to find a woman who's lost more than two decades back. The rest of the book deals with how the Journalist combined with a hacker woman who has some surreal talents of photographic memory and computers unravel the complicated case.

The second book deals with the background of the protagonist, Lisbeth Salander. The main characters of this book were a couple of writers who wanted to publish a book and article with the help of Millennium. However, the story turns around when on a single night, three murders take place with Lisbeth's fingerprints on the weapon. Lisbeth goes undercover and Blomkvist, the Journalist starts piling up evidence that Lisbeth is innocent along with his sister, a lawyer and all the help he could get. The book ends in a pretty violent way where Lisbeth's fighting for her life.

The third book reveals all the flashbacks of Lisbeth Salander, the worst things happening to her since childhood, done by a popular psychologist Dr. Teleborian. It's all about unveiling how unfair the government, officials, guardians had been to Lisbeth and proving them in front of them the Court.

The reason I have written less about the third book is that if I write a bit more, the story would be revealed.

If you are looking for a high-intense thriller book, just go for it!

You would be in love with the characters and the story.
