By the title, many of you might already have started hating me. You might think I am tan or dusky, how on earth am I going to have white skin? Well, having fair skin is not what I mean when I say skin lightening. What I mean is that having an even-toned, blemish free clear skin. In this article, I am going to share some tips on how you can achieve a lighter skin tone.

Tip 1: Prevention of pigmentation:
Except for genetic reasons, all other pigmentations are caused by sun rays. When our skin is exposed to the sun's harmful rays, we tend to have dull and damaged skin. The leftover acne scars and age spots become darker when exposed to the sun. So it is very important to protect your skin using a sunscreen. No matter which season you are in, as long as the sun is out to use sunscreen.

Tip 2: Exfoliation:
It is important to exfoliate your skin at least once or twice a week. This will not only get rid of all the accumulated dead skin but also will reduce the pigmentation over time. If you have somewhat clear skin then use a physical exfoliator. And if you have troubled skin chose a chemical exfoliant like AHA or BHA and Retinol.

Tip 3: Whitening products:
To use proper lightening agents is very important to get clear skin. Ingredients like Vitamin C, Arbutin, Hydroquinone and Niacinamide helps in brightening the skin. These are a must have skincare products if you wish to have clear and glowing skin. But choose any one of these, because mixing of these products can have adverse effects. And use them at night because they are sensitive to sun.

Nothing happens overnight. So you just have to be patient to see the results. Hope you liked it and hope this helped.
