I think determining and evaluating the best content would be a biased thing to do in 2019 as there are a pool of English TV series that deserves wide audience, and of course some of them are underrated too. Here is the list of some Tv series that inspite of not getting much audience but had its targeted audience and their heart.

The intensity of the scenes and acting is unbelievable and unmatchable, the meticulous Writing of Science fiction in this show is beyond awesome, every audience can learn a great deal about nuclear disaster. the fact that this show surpassed the IMDB ratings of GOT & Breaking all the limits of the its potential. Watch this even if you mildly excited about science & want to feel the sheer thrill.

Why should you watch it ?

What We Do in the Shadows is beloved by fans for its enthusiastic embrace of vampire lore, its endlessly quotable dialogue, and its straightforward, fully deadpan use of a Real World-style mockumentary format to deliver its story of a coven of vampires juggling the stressors of cohabitation and city life with the usual vampire tribulations: werewolf feuds, ancient vengeance pacts, getting blood out of the kitchen tiles after a feeding frenzy.

Veep

Why should you watch it ?

The series was created by Amando ("In the Loop"), who co-wrote the premiere episode with Simon Blackwell. And you really have to hand it to them, and to HBO, for daring to put this on TV while the presidential race is building steam and offering a chance to compare real-life officials to the satirically fictionalized variety.

Euphoria

What is it about?

Euphoria is an American teen drama television series created by Sam Levinson, loosely based on the Israeli miniseries of the same name. Euphoria follows a group of high school students through their experiences of sex, drugs, friendships, love, identity and trauma.

Why should you watch it ?

In a lot of ways, Euphoria is what parents are avoiding on their kids' phones, the hidden secondary social media accounts that document modern teen life in ways that are more advanced and reckless than what those parents are hiding about their own pasts.

It might not be every teen's story, but it's a story that hasn't been told quite like this in a while.

Watchmen

mv5byjhhzde3njgtmjkznc00nzi3lwjhotitmwq5zjljoda5nwnkxkeyxkfqcgdeqxvymzq2mdi5nju-v1--k71kpa8d

Director – Zack Snider

What is it about

When masked vigilantes are treated as criminals by government agencies, some band together to start a mutiny while others aim to stop it before it yields chaos.

Why should you watch it?

As great as these performances are, “Watchmen” has a cumulative power that comes from every aspect of its production. Scenes can stand alone—the prologues are especially powerful and Irons’ scenes as Adrian Veidt are surreal and captivating—but it’s the overall mood, tone, and thematic exploration that brings it all together. Rarely have I been more and more impressed with a show as each episode unfolded. The book had a similar power, wowing you with its world building in early chapters, but feeling even richer when it was complete. It is often cited as a game-changer for its entire medium. The show could find a similar fate.

His Dark Materials

War of worlds

mv5bodu4zwmwnwqtngviny00zwu0lwjjmdqtngq4ztcxn2zjzdk5xkeyxkfqcgdeqxvynte1njy5mg-v1--k71kswr2

Director - Coulier, Richard Clark

What is it about

In London during the Edwardian era, George and Amy's attempt to start a life together is interrupted by a Martian invasion of Earth.

Why should you watch it ?

The War of the Worlds is a great story, and it shows with the number of times it has been adapted. Some of the most famous were Orson Welles’ radio adaptation in 1938, the ‘50s adaptation, and the Steven Spielberg/Tom Cruise in the 2000s, and 1996’s Independence Day was War of the Worlds in all but name. The BBC mini-series was the first adaptation to be set in England and moving the story to the early 20thcentury. I was personally excited about this mini-series because I thought it would be more loyal to the source material. These hopes were sadly misplaced.
