And The Petals Are Falling Fast

Me being the Beast I am,
Waited in the shadows to ambush
The old man with the wagon
Who entered my Castle
To escape the cold bitter weather
And the petals are Falling Fast.

Me being the Beast I am,
I imprisoned the old man in the dungeons
For he had trespassed into my castle
And ate and drank to his fullest
But had nothing to repay me with
And the petals are Falling Fast.

Me being the Beast I am,
Exchanged the freedom of the old man
For that of his loving daughter
Who had come running and offered herself
To take her father's place
And the petals are Falling Fast.

Me being the Beast I am,
Detained the beautiful daughter
Who cried and cried and cursed at me
And refused to have dinner with me
When I hoped that she would be
The end of all my curses
And the petals are falling fast.

Me being the Beast I am,
Roared at the young girl to Leave
When she came upon the enchanted rose
Which can either release or solidify the Curse
But the girl ran off into the night
Ignorant of the dangers that the dark holds
And the petals are falling fast.

Me being the Beast I am,
Wanted the curse to end soon
And the girl was my last last hope
So I went behind her
Only to see her surrounded by wolves
And the petals are Falling Fast.

Me being the Beast I am,
Fought off the wolves
Before I succumb to the pain and wounds
And wake up to find her
Caring for me in my Castle
Where I'd imprisoned her
And the petals are Falling Fast.

Me being the Human I started to become,
Saw the beauty in the girl
Who was not only brilliant in mind
But also had a benevolent heart
Which saw the good even in me
Who was a Beast
Who imprisoned her and her father
And treated them as Inferiors
And the petals are Falling Fast.

Me being the Human had become,
Asked Belle for a dinner and dance
Where I realized
This beautiful girl
Who can create new worlds with just words
Is the one I had been waiting for
For all these years
And the Petals are Falling Fast.

Me being the Human I am,
Who is much better than the one I ever was
Couldn't see my Belle suffer
Let her go to her father
Even knowing that I might never be able to break the curse
And the Petals are Falling Fast.

Me being the lovesick Human I am,
Do not care much about the curse
When I know that I have done the right thing
By letting go of my selfishness
For the happiness of my One True Love
Even though She doesn't know
How Important she is to me
And that I will forever be waiting expectantly
For even a glimpse of her beautiful face
Which can Light up even the gloomiest of day
And the petals are Falling Fast.
