Life of Flight Attendants:

This is one of the hardest jobs in the world and yet least appreciated. Like any other job, they too work for 8-12 hours or more and yet I mentioned “hardest jobs” and I’ll tell you why.

Can you imagine working for that many hours in motion above 4200 feet above the ground, with a constant smile and constant energy with “non-cooperative humans” (most of the time)? Yes, exactly. No work is easy I understand, but a lot of people have different fantasy regarding this profession. They just see the beautiful face and their handsome salary but no one sees the hard work behind it. I think it is one of the most responsible jobs we have in this world and they should be respected more.

How do we suddenly become proud looking at the girls and women in our national uniform, we tend to respect them more and see them with different perspective then why not to these girls and women where someone is a mother, a wife and a daughter. They have to sometime become a Nurse, a Life-saver, an Engineer, a chef, a pharmacologist and many more. They do not have a specific timing to their job, sometimes it’s early in the morning and sometimes its late night and yet we think this job is easy.

So the whole point is no work is easy nor this one. Respect them and treat them more respectfully. Let’s return smile to them who try to make us happy in that short duration of time and provide us with best hospitality they can.
